About the Program

The Youth Build program allows community members aged 10 to 18 to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and serve in the Durham community. Participants in Youth Build events work alongside Habitat staff and crew lead volunteers to create and decorate gifts for new homebuyers for their home dedications. This program allows young volunteers to learn more about Habitat’s goal and initiatives while also making their own contribution. 

Interested in a youth build?

School groups, faith groups, and community organizations are invited to schedule their own Youth Build days. Youth Build events with open registration are held periodically throughout the year.
