Durham Habitat Home Dedications

Posted |

Habitat of Durham celebrates the close of each home build with a dedication - and you're always invited!

These short, 30-minute ceremonies usually consist of a few words from Habitat, the partner family, and any sponsors associated with the build and then fellowship over a modest meal. It is always a joyous time with tears of joy and stories of home construction experiences.

Bring your loved ones of any age out to witness the dreams of home ownership becoming realities.

Habitat Success Stories

Lal is a Burmese refugee who came to Durham after stops in India and Thailand. Lal partnered with Habitat and the Durham Literacy Center to renovate a historic home in East Durham. "There is no more fear," Lal said. "We won't have to move again because the home belongs to us."
