Pink Ribbon Build
The Pink Ribbon Build is a special project intended to allow breast cancer survivors and the families and friends of those who have dealt with this disease the opportunity to express their gratitude to the support staff of the Duke Cancer Institute for the consistent compassion, kindness, and warmth that they give every day to patients battling cancer. Women Build is an international Habitat effort to build homes that are funded and constructed by women. By providing a female friendly work site, our Women Build program empowers women to take leadership roles in construction and learn new skills while building a home with a hardworking family. Apostles Build mobilizes the faith community to build homes as an expression of God’s love. Twelve or more faith communities come together to raise sponsorship funds for a home and to volunteer in the construction of that home. Top executives from the Triangle partner annually with Habitat for Humanity to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for deserving families in Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties. In addition to providing a unique networking opportunity for area CEOs, the CEO Build project provides high corporate visibility and concrete opportunities for area companies to involve their employees in giving back to local communities.
Youth United Build
Youth United is a youth-led program that mobilizes neighbors aged 5-25 in Habitat for Humanity’s mission of eliminating poverty housing.
