Volunteer: Special Events

At various times during the year, Habitat hosts one-day events, such as bike rides, home tours, building blitzes, and more. These are important opportunities for us to spread the word about Habitat and its mission! As a special events volunteer, you could help prepare before the event, work during the event, or clean up afterwards.

Special Events 101

Special Event opportunities are available on an as needed basis

Times will vary based on the event and activity

Must be at least 14 years old.

Duties may include: decorating, making signs, setting up tables and chairs, signing in participants, serving food and drink, greeting guests, picking up trash, directing traffic

A good one-day opportunity for people who want to volunteer with Habitat but don't have a lot of time to spare.

Skill Requirements:

A willingness to participate in many kinds of activities

An interest in spreading the word about Habitat
