DIY planter boxes with Habitat

Posted |

We're transforming old, unwanted pallets into charming, rustic planter boxes for your herbs, flowers, etc on September 20 from 1pm to 4pm. Want to join us?

This Do-It-Yourself project is hosted by Habitat's Carpenters Club and sponsored by Stone Bros. & Byrd.*

  • Already a Habitat Carpenters Club member? DIY with us for FREE; sign up here.
  • Ready to become a member? Join here for free admission to regular events and some great social networking; then sign up here.
  • Not quite ready to commit, but excited to build? Be our guest with a $20 donation as admission; then sign up here.

Habitat will provide all of the supplies, tools, and instruction. Stone Bros. & Byrd will provide the greenery. They are celebrating their 100th anniversary in Durham with us by donating a dozen annuals to each DIY planter box builder!

*Due to the use of power tools, this event is for people 16 years or older.

Habitat Success Stories

Barbara is an elderly neighbor who suffers from COPD. Durham Habitat partnered with the Fuqua School of Business to replace Barbara’s roof and HVAC system. Barbara said,"I thank God that Habitat was able to fix my home because I was unable to do it for myself."
