Special Events
Habitat for Humanity of Durham's special events raise funds and awareness for our mission in the community.
The Bull Moon Bike Ride is a summer night ride through the streets of downtown Durham. Riders meander past the unique sights of Durham, enjoying music along the route and returning on the American Tobacco Trail to a party at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. It is a fun, quirky community-raising event attracting casual riders and families.
Foundation Breakfast
The Foundation Breakfast is an annual fundraising event. The free, one-hour breakfast shares about Habtiat for Humanity of Durham's work in community through inspirational testimonies. Habitat friends attend and serve as hosts, inviting others to join them at the event.
The Great Human Race is a 5K run and community walk that supports area nonprofits. The unique fundraising event provides an opportunity for any nonprofit agency to raise money for their own organization. This year, the event will be held at Northgate Mall in Durham.
The Halloween Bike Ride is a fall ride through the countryside of Durham and surrounding counties. Riders choose to tackle one of three route lengths (31, 62 or 100 miles) supported by well-stocked rest stops. Riders return to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park to a party supporting their accomplishment.
House Party
The House Party is a social event that offers the opportunity to view some of Durham's most unique homes. The party with purpose supports Habitat's life-changing mission. Friends of Habitat open their home for this event and become house party sponsors.
