Get ready to rock as Durham Habitat's annual "Battle of the Bands" is set for May 3, 5:00 p.m., at The Tavern Food and Spirits.

Now in it's sixth year, this family-friendly event features some of the best on-the-rise youth bands from the Triangle. Bands will battle for the top two awards on the main stage in front of a panel of music professionals -- including Joe Kwon of The Avett Brothers'  (a Durham Habitat Board Member) --  and an expected crowd of more than 250!

Prizes will be awarded for the First Place Judges' Award and the Crowd Favorite (determined by donations from the crowd made on behalf of their favorite band). Winners will be featured on the ReverbNation website, and will receive ReverbNation t-shirts, InTuneGP custom picks, and much more.

Representing all music genres -- from Jazz and Blues to Hard Rock -- the bands slated to play, include Three Sixty, Stolen Reputation, Dollar Menu, Ghost Shirt Society, Delta Biscuit, The Boat Exclusion, and Hung Jury.

A percentage of all food sales by The Tavern will be donated to Durham Habitat's Youth United

Carpenters Club members get in FREE  (as they do for all of our special events)!!! General admission is $10 at the door; pre-sale tickets are available for $6. To purchase tickets online, click here
