Bike RideTo raise funds for affordable housing, Durham Habitat organizes the Bull Moon Ride and Run event, a magical night time ride and run through the streets of Downtown Durham, culminating with a party at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. 

Habitat Bull Moon Ride and 5k Run – July 19, 2014

Last summer's Bull Moon Ride and Run saw 1,238 riders, runners and walkers meander past the unique sights of the Bull City, enjoying music along the route and returning on a quiet American Tobacco Trail to festivities at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Bull City Race Fest and Food Truck Rodeo - Oct 19, 2014

Habitat for Humanity of Durham has been named the beneficiary of the Bull City Race Fest and Food Truck Rodeo.  We are thrilled to begin our partnership with this amazing event in Durham.  Last year's inaugural event saw 6,000 runners complete a half marathon or 5 mile run.  To learn more about the Bull City Race Fest visit www.bullcityracefest.com.

Foundation Breakfast

Durham Habitat’s Foundation Breakfast is an annual spring fundraising event that shares our community impact through inspirational testimonies.  Breakfast sponsors serve as hosts, inviting other neighbors to join them at the event, and are recognized through signage. Habitat Success Stories

Lal is a Burmese refugee who came to Durham after stops in Egypt and Thailand. Lal partnered with Habitat and the Durham Literacy Center to renovate a historic home in East Durham. “There is no more fear,” Lal said. “We won’t have to move again because the home belongs to us.”
